This review refers to a visit to the winery on 12 July 2018. The tour and tasting cost AMD2,500. Both the guide and the tour itself were outstanding. The guide spoke English well, was thorough in her explanations, and the tour was long and educational. The Ijevan winery is one of a very few wineries where visitors can taste wines from indigenous Armenian grapes other than Areni -- in this case Lalvari, Haghtanak and Kamrahyut, among others. It is also one of a very few Armenian wineries that ages some of its product in karas jugs. There are a number of options available to enhance the tour by expanding the tasting portion. This is arguably the highlight of a visit to Ijevan -- it is that unique and memorable. Brandy lovers will appreciate it, too.
